With another flying season on the way...............
Two Flying Sites Now Available
With the recent loss of our long time Killingly field we have started flying at our Thompson site
And have just acquired a beautiful site in Brooklyn with special thanks to Paul Cristorfori an Darin Menditto, and of course the town of Brooklyn. We are presently working on the Brooklyn site to make them flight ready and should be ready by 10-16-2011. Both sites are locked entry so contact any board member for the entry combination code. This is great news for the club and I will update the website soon with directions to, and pictures of both sites .. Ronnie

The Yankee Flyers of Connecticut is a non-profit radio control model aircraft club, formed to foster and promote the sport and hobby of flying R/C model aircraft.
The Club is chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA - Charter 1087), and maintains an airfield open to its members.
About the Club: With over 50 members, this modest size club is located in North Eastern Connecticut. This location provides the club with the opportunity to server members from three states (Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island)
Regular club meetings are held at the United Methodist Church of North Grosvenordale CT. on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm.
The club maintains an airfield located in Killingly CT and has several designated instructors who are available to teach the fine art of model aircraft flight. Instruction is offered free of charge by these members, in the spirit of promoting the hobby to newcomers. Additionally, club members who are not instructors are always willing to lend a hand.
New and prospective members are invited to attend the monthly meetings, and everyone is always welcome to stop by and check out the action for themselves!
The club requires all members hold a current membership with the AMA.
